Accommodation

Most places to stay in Christchurch are going to be a short Uber ride away, as the cricket ground is in the middle of Hagley Park. There are no special rates negotiated as it is a relatively small conference, but below are some ideas for accommodation:

• The George - one of Christchurch’s best known hotels, on the edge of Hagley Park. This would be walkable if the weather is OK.
• The Mayfair - a fairly new boutique hotel
• Crowne Plaza - centrally located, tall tower
• Novotel - central location
• And something special - Observatory Hotel - a boutique hotel in the Arts Centre (the old University of Canterbury)

Transport

There will be no parking available at the venue, but is easily reachable by taxi or app-based ride share services (use 63 Riccarton Avenue as the address for app-based rides). Riccarton Avenue is also a major bus route.

Some car parking is available on Riccarton Avenue, but this fills up very early with the cars of workers at Christchurch Hospital.

There is a Park and Ride service on Deans Avenue with a minibus ride to the hospital. From there it is a 5 minute walk back up Riccarton Avenue.
