The 2025 Save Sight Society conference was held in the Harbour Room of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Auckland on 1st August — where clinicians, researchers, and innovators united to advance ophthalmic care. Together, we explored breakthroughs, shared knowledge, and strengthened our commitment to preserving vision and preventing blindness for all Kiwis. We had a stellar line up of speakers form across Aotearoa, New Zealand including Dr Riyaz Bhikoo (Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon and Ocular Oncologist, Auckland), Dr Antony Bedggood (Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist Christchurch), Renata Watene (Optometrist and Teaching Fellow, Auckland) and Assoc Prof James McKelvie (Consultant Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgeon, Waikato).
